As the eldest child and executor of my mother's estate, I handled the sale of her home, a place filled with 50 years of family memories. Living out of state, the prospect of managing the sale from afar was challenging.

After my father passed away l needed to work through the process of selling his home, which was also my childhood home. I did not have any experience buying or selling a home, and I would be handling this process from out of state.
